A medieval castle, surrounded by vineyards, in the heart of the Rose Valley. This is Chateau Copsa – one of the most famous wineries in Bulgaria.
The architecture of Chateau Copsa is impressive. It is inspired by early medieval castles and reflects the rich history of winemaking in the region. It features an imposing stone structure with habitable oval towers at the end of the main body.
Chateau Copsa's own vineyards span 50 hectares, located in the heart of the Rose Valley. This wine micro-region, nestled between the southern slope of the Balkan Mountains and Sredna Gora, is exceptionally favorable for growing high-quality white wine varieties. The intense aromas from the rose plantations and lavender fields, as well as the constant air currents and mild climate ensured by the two mountains, contribute to the unique terroir of the region.

Annual rainfall is significantly higher than the average for Bulgaria, ensuring constant soil moisture throughout the year. In addition, the naturally cool mountain air of the region helps to cool the fruit and achieve a high concentration of aromas.
The white wine varieties grown include the emblematic local variety Cherven Misket, Muscat Ottonel, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Additionally, red grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are also grown. The intense aromas from the rose plantations and lavender fields contribute to unique wines.
Chateau Copsa's winery boasts modern infrastructure and a capacity of 320,000 liters, allowing for the production of exceptionally high-quality wines. The region's traditions and innovative approaches to winemaking intertwine to offer a unique experience for wine lovers.
