It all began in 2003 with a simple idea: if three quarters of your Gin & Tonic is the tonic, wouldn't you want it to be the best?

Fever-Tree co-founders Charles and Tim, working in different areas of the drinks business, had both noticed that premium spirits were growing rapidly, fuelled by a growing consumer awareness of the provenance of what they were eating and drinking.

This growing interest in premium food and drink, however, seemed to ignore the mixers and soft drinks that were also a key element of the drinks industry. It struck the pair as extraordinary that people were paying good money for high quality spirits, yet still had no choice but to combine them with poor quality mixers.

From the very beginning, Charles and Tim approached their business in a different way: at Fever-Tree, there would be no compromise. Taste and quality were of the utmost importance. This mindset led them on an 18-month adventure: from the archives of the British Library to the wrong end of a Kalashnikov in the Democratic Republic of Congo, culminating in the launch of our Premium Indian Tonic Water in 2005.

Ever since they put the cap on their first bottle of Premium Indian Tonic Water, Charles and Tim have never wavered from their mission: to unite high quality and flavour in a bottle of premium mixer.

Innovation remains at the core of the Fever-Tree brand, and over the years, the company has developed a wide range of tonics that perfectly complement the diverse flavour categories of gin. We discovered three incredibly diverse varieties of ginger, which together create an exceptionally deep, fresh, and true taste. These were used to produce Ginger Ale and Ginger Beer.

The story of Fever-Tree is about a journey to all corners of the earth in pursuit of the best quality, and the most exciting thing is that after all these years of hard work, we have barely scratched the surface.
