Havana Club

Havana Club

Shaped by Cuba's climate, geography, history and people, rum is an essential part of the nation's culture. Havana Club represents this rich cultural heritage in its purest form. It is the true spirit of Cuba.

Crafted by Maestros Roneros using a traditional Cuban recipe, cherished by rum enthusiasts worldwide to the rhythm of the best Cuban music, Havana Club embodies the spirit of Cuba.

The values of Havana Club are best expressed by the Maestros del Ron Cubano. This is not a craft learned in school. As Don José Navarro, the premier Maestro del Ron Cubano, said, it is "a cultural heritage passed down from Maestro to Maestro." For 15 long years, the aspiring Maestro undergoes rigorous training. Under the supervision of a senior Maestro del Ron Cubano, they learn to select the best molasses, control their fermentation and distillation, choose the best barrels for aging the spirits, and blend them to create the finest rums. A Maestro del Ron Cubano is a true master of their craft.

In 1993, Pernod Ricard S.A. and Corporación Cuba Ron S.A. launched the joint venture responsible for the production, marketing, and commercialization of Havana Club worldwide. Thanks to the production team in Cuba, our rums are now the most awarded Cuban rum, with 27 medals in tasting competitions over the past four years.
