Селски резерват

Селски резерват

An idea born from the collaboration between an Englishwoman with a deep love for Bulgaria and a visionary Bulgarian.

For years, Barbara Page-Roberts – an English businesswoman living in Bulgaria – collected sloes from the meadows and made sloe gin, which she mostly gave as Christmas presents to her friends. In 2015, she discovered dogwood berries – another astringent fruit, much redder in color than sloes – and began making dogwood berry gin alongside her sloe gin. The success was great, especially for summer cocktails.

As part of its strategy for continuous diversification and its mission to add value to its production, the agricultural company "Agrotime" joined forces with Barbara Page-Roberts to produce the first batch of gin liqueurs intended for the market, under the brand "Rustic Reserva".

Ivan Krachunov, owner and manager of "Agrotime", says: "Throughout my life, my father and I, and before that my grandfather, have strived to add value to the abundance of natural fruits and plants that nature has bestowed upon us. Our dogwood berry product is unique and purely Bulgarian, with which we can present our country to the world!"

No artificial flavors, preservatives, or colorings

Foraging for berries and making fruit gin has been a centuries-old family tradition in Southern England, and hand-picked Bulgarian berries, steeped in gin with a little sugar for three months from September to December according to British tradition, form the basis of our Limited Edition Rustic Reserve fruit gin infusions, each bottle of which is made from about ½ kg of fruit.
