Chateau Avli

Chateau Avli

Château Avli is located in the village of Glushnik, Sliven Province.

The name comes from the medieval city of Avli, known for its agriculture and winemaking.

The vineyards were planted in 2006 using French planting material.

Château Avli continues the development path of the Glushnik line, produced from our own vineyards, and is represented by light, fruity and fresh white and rosé wines, as well as aromatic, full-bodied and aged reds.

A large part of the produced wines follow the trend of single varietals such as Avli Rosé from Caladoc, bearing the symbolism and aroma of Provencal rosés, the unique and captivating Cabernet Franc inspired by the Loire Valley, as well as the distinctive Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer and Syrah.

In 2018, the vineyards were converted, and drip irrigation was installed in both arrays.

The cultivated varieties are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Caladoc, Syrah, Muscat, Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer and Viognier.

The wines produced are balanced and interesting, with fresh fruity aromas and excellent structure – the result of the innovative, professional and passionate work of technologists Nikolay Krastev, Petar Georgiev and Radostin Milkov.

Terroir

They are located on 330 decares across two massifs (Bozalaka and Rupov Dol) at the foot of the Sliven mountain range – on terrains with fertile clay-stony soils, south-facing, and with excellent air drainage. In addition to their favorable terroir, climatic characteristics, and terrain, the land is rich in several types of stones, which also contributes to the taste qualities and the specific recognizable character of the wines.
