Damyanitsa Winery was founded in 1940 and is located in the Thracian Valley wine region. This is the sunniest and warmest region in the country, with hilly terrain and soils of volcanic origin. Damyanitsa AD is a producer of wines from the world's most renowned grape varieties. These include the unique local variety Shiroka Melnishka Loza, also known as "Melnik", and "Rubin", a variety developed in Bulgaria. It is an established producer of red wines, mainly in the premium category, and is recognized as one of the few Bulgarian producers of ultra-premium wines.
