G.H. Mumm is part of the prestigious and world-renowned champagne and cognac producer – Mumm Perrier-Jouët. The company was founded in Reims, France, in 1827 by the Mumm family, who had experience and traditions in wine trading dating back to 1761. Since its inception, the principle of pursuing high quality has been fundamental.

This principle has been passed down through generations and is underscored by the brand's motto, systematized by Georges Hermann Mumm: "Only the best."

Georges Hermann Mumm was the son of one of the company's founders. He took over management in 1852 and, with the creation of Mumm's vineyards, established a strategy based on the pursuit of perfection. Georges tirelessly traveled the world in search of new markets for his champagne. His focus on exports brought significant success to the brand – while sales amounted to half a million bottles in 1879, they reached 3 million bottles in 1913. This made G.H. Mumm a leader in this segment.

Among Georges Mumm's greatest achievements is the creation of the legendary "Cordon Rouge," first released in 1875. Today, this legendary champagne is one of the world's leading sellers, and its blend combines tradition and technology, perfected in the Champagne region.

Mumm's style is distinguished by its precision and elegance. With exceptional attention to detail, the "Cuvée Brut" bottles are adorned with a red silk ribbon, symbolizing the red ribbons awarded to individuals honored with France's most prestigious orders. The elegant design of the bottles and the champagne's premium quality impressed the royal families of Austro-Hungary, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. In 1904, the British royal family declared Mumm its official champagne supplier. To this day, the company supplies champagne to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as evidenced by the Royal Warrant adorning the neck of the bottles.

Mumm's own vineyards span an area of 218 hectares. 160 hectares of these are classified as Grand Cru and are located in 8 historic villages that embody the full authenticity of the best terroirs in the Champagne region: Ay, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly, Avize, and Cramant. In the vineyards of Cramant and Avize, the predominant grape variety is Pinot Noir, in Côte des Blancs - Chardonnay, and in Vallée de la Marne - Pinot Meunier.

Since the creation of Maison Mumm, quality control at every stage of production has been considered an extremely important element – from grape cultivation to the pressing process. The company demonstrates exceptional innovation and dedication to the terroir by placing its wine presses directly in the vineyards.

In their constant pursuit of perfection and adhering to their motto: "Only the best," Mumm's specialists explore the importance of terroir in champagne production, combating adverse climate conditions, and improving grape quality. Traditions, innovations, and craftsmanship – following these principles, G.H. Mumm is undoubtedly one of the most famous, largest, and most renowned champagne producers in the world today.
