Walter Glatzer was one of the first to believe in the ability of Carnuntum's vineyards to produce excellent grapes. He inspired many young winemaking families from the region and thus became one of the pioneers of the wine industry in Carnuntum. The Glatzer brand creates elegant wines with silky tannins and soft acidity, which bring pleasure with every sip.

While many winemakers used new oak barrels in search of greater concentration for their wines, Glatzer adhered to his credo: "The typical regional character and terroir cannot be expressed in extremely tannic and heavily oaked wines."

As the region is dominated by the warm Pannonian climate, nearly 70% of the estate's 50 hectares are planted with red wines, mainly Zweigelt, but also Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent.
