Zlaten Rozhen Winery is located near the village of Kapatovo, 20 km south of the town of Sandanski. The winery is a modern complex with a complete production cycle, with facilities for controlling all processes of vinification, aging, stabilization, and bottling of wines. The dominant grape varieties in the vineyard structure are Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah, the region's typical Melnik 55, Melnishki Rubin, and the iconic Shiroka Melnishka Loza, which has been grown in the area since ancient times.

Since 2017, Zlaten Rozhen Winery has expanded its vineyards with premium grape plantings. Zlaten Rozhen produces high-quality boutique wines with excellently expressed varietal aromas, mature tannins, and soft freshness.

The history of our elite winery began with the planting of our vineyards in the land of Kapatovo village, in the Kostov Andak area.

For centuries, the classic image of Bulgarian winemaking has been represented precisely by the old Melnik wine, produced from the local variety - Shiroka Melnishka Loza. This wine was a show of privilege on the tables in the castles of Venetian doges, Spanish dukes, and French counts. It is interesting that attempts to transfer and cultivate Shiroka Melnishka Loza in other regions have always ended unsuccessfully.
