Via Venera

Via Venera

With Via Vinera, we invite you on an unforgettable journey during which you can share our passion for wine.

The winery began its journey in 2007 in the Sharovitsa area near the village of Karabunar. This is a region where vineyards and wine have been part of people's lives since ancient times. Over the years, it has continued to develop, following market trends and an affinity for good wine.

In 2017, the new brand name Via Vinera was proudly presented, replacing the well-known "Karabunar." The change is a result of the owners' desire to continue the traditions in the region and combine them with modern trends. The aim is to achieve a complete modern identity. In the future, the winery will present itself with its new eponymous series "Via Vinera," as well as with the familiar "Bulgarian Heritage," "Contour," and "Castellum."

Via Vinera relies on both artisanal approaches and modern technologies, combining the styles of two traditional Bulgarian terroirs – that in the Thracian Valley (Karabunar village) with that in the Danubian Plain (Kilifarevo town). This bold endeavor is successful thanks to the creative and experimental spirit of oenologist Nadezhda Dyulgerska. Together with the dedicated team, she invests her 18 years of experience as an oenologist, international judge, and member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Oenologists in Bulgaria, to create a quality and well-structured portfolio.

Българско наследство

We chose to present our collection "Bulgarian Heritage" using letters from the first Bulgarian alphabet - Glagolitic. This series embodies our passion for creating wine from traditional Bulgarian grape varieties that have been growing in these lands for many years.

Outline

The Contours of Inspiration – It is said that a winery is only as good as its wine for every possible occasion. For Via Vinera, these are the wines from the "Contour" series, which in 2020 receive new stylistic and qualitative outlines! Today, Via Vinera is ready for the new phase: the transition from the contours of the earth to those of the human soul. Inspired by the sensuality of the female body, the contours of our new series have been outlined

Castellum

Castellum translated from Latin means "watchtower" or "guard tower". We chose this name for our range of aged wines to express our desire to strictly adhere to the traditions and spirit of Bulgarian winemaking. We have carefully selected the best batches in the cellar, produced from strictly selected grapes.

The eponymous Via Vinera series relies on international grape varieties aged in oak. These are artisan wines that are, however, easily understandable and attractive both stylistically and in terms of price. Despite their short presence on the market, the wines from the Via Vinera series have been recognized at some of the most prestigious international wine competitions.

The Via Vinera trademark on the labels of our well-known wines is their family characteristic and a sign of consistently high quality.
