VIDA Estates

VIDA Estates

VIDA ESTATES is a project whose idea is to present different terroir specificities from Central and Eastern Europe. The wine experts at VIDA Wine & Spirits constantly strive to discover exceptional wines that adhere to VIDA's principles of a clean taste profile and minimal human intervention with sustainable practices and methods that do not pollute nature. Each wine carries the spirit and traditions of its region.

The wineries included in the project are:

  • Via Verde– Struma River Valley, Southwest Bulgaria. A young wine project focused on a wholesome lifestyle. Every part of their winemaking is in balance with nature. They develop local varieties to showcase their pure varietal expression.
  • Borovitza– An emblematic winery at the foot of the Belogradchik Rocks. A region with a long history of winemaking, favored by cool mountain air and soils composed of minerals and iron. The temperature amplitudes between day and night allow the grapes to rest during cool nights and develop an intense aromatic profile while preserving their freshness. The vineyards in "Lipitsa" are 50-60 years old and have an excellent location – close to the Danube River.
  • Manastira– A Bulgarian winery known for its full-bodied red wines, which are necessarily aged in oak barrels before being released to the market. It is located in the village of Lesichevo, in a deep valley surrounded by the slopes of Sredna Gora. The name of the winery comes from a monastery with a miraculous icon, which was located in the region but was burned down by the Turks. Thus, each wine carries the spirit of Bulgarian history and traditions; the series bear the names Thrace, Ibur, Ilaya, etc.
  • Salla Estate– Blaskovo village, Provadia; 60 km from Varna. The winery is located on ancient Thracian land, where wine markets were organized in the 4th century BC. An interesting fact is that next to the winery there is an equestrian center. It breeds one of the oldest horse breeds in Europe – Lipizzaner.
  • Domeniile Averesti– The winery is located in Northeastern Romania, in the Huși region, which has a millennia-old history. The vineyards benefit from high altitude, a cool climate, and acidic forest soil. The production focus is on old aromatic local varieties.
  • Kristancic– The winery is located in Western Slovenia, Medana village, Goriška Brda region, on the border with Italy. Nature is observed at every step of winemaking, following the cycle of life. An interesting fact is that beautiful peacocks freely live in the winery.
