Yalovo Winery is a small boutique cellar nestled in the foothills of the Balkan Mountains, 15 kilometers from Veliko Tarnovo. Driven by their shared passion for wine, the visionary Anton Tanev and the oenologist Dimitar Dimov aim to create wines with character that express the beauty of the region and their common vision for winemaking.

Only the best fruit is selected for Yalovo wines to impart character to the wine. The winemakers' goals are to revive traditional local grape varieties and old cultivation techniques, as well as to preserve biodiversity in the region. The first plot was planted with Dimyat, Pamid, Gamza, Rubin, and Chardonnay. Other plots are also being prepared, where in addition to these varieties, forgotten ones such as Kokorko, Vinenka, Varnenski Mavrud will also be grown. The plantations have narrow rows (1.7 m) with a density of 653 vines per decare, bringing Yalovo Winery close to old traditional viticulture.

The winery is housed in the massive stone building of the former school in the village of Yalovo. Built in the early 20th century, the school closed its doors in the 1950s, and the building was transferred to Civil Defense. In 2014, the reconstruction of the building began, transforming it into a winery.
