Description
Located in the Rias Baixas region, within Condado de Tea, the historic estate spans a 30-hectare property and gave its name to the winery.
Pazo San Mauro was built in 1591, and vine cultivation has always been part of its history, making it one of the oldest wineries in Europe. With vineyards on the Pazo de San Mauro estate averaging 35 years old, they descend towards the banks of the Minho River. The ancient granite, typical of the estate, contributes to the unique, complex, and mineral character of its wines.
100% Albariño. Manual harvest in 12 kg crates, which go into cold storage minutes after picking, where they remain until the next day. This overnight cooling of the clusters has been proven to have a beneficial effect on the final quality of the wine. After bottling, it ages in the bottle for 6 months.
