Description

The map, however, shows the small village of Stixneusiedl in the Carnuntum wine region in Lower Austria, where Johannes returned in 2000 from a wine internship in California. Initially, he familiarized himself with the surrounding wineries and eventually received a half-hectare vineyard from his father, where he could do as he pleased – according to biodynamic principles and in cooperation with nature. His vineyards are literally alive, teeming with sheep and chickens, and most of the work is done by Johannes and his wife Melanie, while precision and order reign in the cellar. And the result? A unique wine in every barrel.
