Château Carbonnieux Grand Cru Classé 2019, 0.75L
Proof of Château Carbonnieux's medieval history is the deed of exchange between two monks from the powerful Sainte-Croix de Bordeaux Abbey. Founded in the 13th century by Benedictine monks, Château Carbonnieux is one of the oldest in Bordeaux. In 1956, Marc Perrin acquired the château, which was classified for both its red and white wines in 1959. Today, his grandsons - Eric and Philibert - continue his work. The terroir of Château Carbonnieux, established as early as the 12th century, is located on a beautiful, naturally drained gravel ridge. The grape varieties grown are: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot.
