Château Corbin Grand Cru Classé 2016, 0.75
Château Corbin, located in the Saint Emilion appellation on the border with Pomerol, is one of the patriarchs of Saint Emilion. Its foundations date back to the 15th century, and according to legend, Corbin was a fortress belonging to the "Black Prince" Edward of Woodstock, who fought the French in the early stages of the Hundred Years' War. Since 1999, the estate has been managed by Annabelle Cruse-Bardinet, who graduated with a degree in enology from the University of Bordeaux and represents the fourth generation of the family to run the château. The vineyards of Château Corbin cover an area of 12.31 hectares and are planted with 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, which shows an increase in the Merlot planted here. The estate is located in close proximity to Pomerol and not far from Château Cheval Blanc and Château La Dominique. The vineyard is in a single plot with a slight slope and is close to the château.
