We recommend enjoying this elegant wine with braised red meats, roast beef, rabbit with rosemary and garlic, hard cheeses, polenta with truffles, or pasta with chicken.

Château Giscours 3rd Grand Cru Classé 2010, 0.75
Description
The first written records of Château Giscours date back to 1330. At that time, it was listed in historical registers as a fortified estate. The first mention of Giscours in connection with Bordeaux wine production dates from 1552. It is one of the largest estates in Margaux and now produces wine worthy of its 3ème Cru Classé status. Located in the commune of Labarde, it boasts over 80 hectares of vineyards. Giscours was in a poor state when it was acquired by Nicolas Tari in 1952. He invested heavily, and the quality of the wine improved beyond recognition. In 1995, he sold the estate to Dutch businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma. Château Giscours wine is typically a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled vats, and then the wine is aged in small oak barrels (30-40% new) for 18 months.
