Chateau Marjosse Rouge, 0.75
Description
Built in 1782, Château Marjosse is an estate located in the Entre-deux-Mers region, on the right bank of Bordeaux. It is situated 14 km south of Saint-Emilion and is surrounded by 40 hectares of vineyards. The vines grow on exceptional clay and limestone soils. The winemaker and wine merchant Pierre Lurton, director of the iconic Château d'Yquem and Château Cheval Blanc estates, born and raised in a neighboring winery, acquired Château Marjosse in several stages, starting in 1991.
A blend of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (8%), Cabernet Sauvignon (8%), and Malbec (4%). The winemaking process begins with careful selection of only the best grapes, which are then sorted. It is aged in French oak barrels.
