Chateau Marquis de Terme 4th Classified Growth 2012 Double Magnum, 3
Description
Owned by the Ledoux d'Emplet family in the 18th century, this Margaux estate owes its name to François III de Peguilhan, Marquis de Terme, who acquired it when he married Elisabeth de Ledoux d'Emplet in 1762. He sold it during the French Revolution, but the estate remained Château Marquis de Terme. The quality of the wine continued to improve, and in 1855, it was classified as a Fourth Grand Cru of Médoc. Today, since 1935, it has been owned by the Sénéclauze family, who ensure stability and ambition. Since 2009, with the arrival of Ludovic David as director, there has been new momentum: the wines are fleshier and more supple, with an emphasis on the beautiful expression of fruit and the delicacy of Margaux.
The wine comes in a wooden box.
