Description

Château Potensac is a leading Cru Bourgeois estate situated between the villages of Blaignan and Ordonnac in the far north of the Médoc. Potensac is a large estate made up of 50 hectares of vines planted on soils rich in alluvial gravel and red clay. The vineyards (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc) are of a high average age - around 35 years old.

The grapes at Potensac are harvested by hand and then vinified in a combination of temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete tanks. The wine is aged in small oak barrels (20% new) for 14-16 months.
