The property was assembled and created one parcel or row of vines at a time. Following the initial creation of Clos du Clocher, the estate grew to three parcels totaling 4.6 hectares in the Right Bank vineyards. The vines have an average age of 25 years, but there are older parcels of vines as well. In fact, their oldest plot of vines dates back to 1957. These vines were planted directly after the devastating frosts. The wine is aged in about 60% new, French oak barrels for a period of between 16 and 20 months.
