Description
Made at the highest and coldest working distillery in Scotland, with water from a loch located 2000 feet up, Dalwhinnie is an exceptional liquid, an aromatic and welcoming Highland single malt. True to its location, the name derives from the Gaelic for "meeting place of sheep and drovers".
A good introduction to the delights of the Single Malt category - elegant with a bright, fruity taste and notes of heather and vanilla with a smoky, peaty finish.
The aroma of Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old is clean and fresh, with pears, a hint of heather and honey. Its taste is fruity and rich with honey notes and even a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Each sip ends with an aftertaste that matches the fruit, creating a wonderful balance.
This award-winning malt received gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2016 and to fully appreciate it, you should enjoy it neat or with a drop of spring water.
