Description

Destileria Serralles from Puerto Rico once again proves that in addition to 150 years of tradition in rum production, it also has an innovative approach to creating unique combinations of flavors and aromas. In 2018, rum aged in two fundamentally different casks was presented for the first time (Don Q Double Aged Vermouth Cask finish), and in 2019, an innovative product was created again. Don Q Sherry Cask finish first ages for 5 to 8 years in American white oak barrels, after which it is transferred to similar oak barrels that have previously aged Oloroso sherry. The second aging stage lasts 1 year. The final product is a true delight for the palate - dried fruits, smoked wood, dark honey, roasted almonds, raisins and dried cherries. All flavors and aromas are in harmonious balance and suggest a long and slow enjoyment of every sip.
