Description

Big Peat is a marriage of single malt whiskies from several distilleries on the Isle of Islay, Scotland.

With the freshness of Caol Ila, the perfect balance of Bowmore, the medicinal notes of Ardbeg, and the grandeur of Port Ellen, Big Peat offers a degree of elegance – representing everything that is the Islay style in a bottle!

Nose: The nose starts fresh, clean with a hint of sea salt – developing into an aroma of peat-dried malted barley – with a damp, earthy character.

Taste: What's in the name! Ash, sweet tar and charcoal, bandages, seashore, and smoking chimneys – all combine to form BIG PEAT.

Finish: Long and lingering, echoing the taste with salty licorice, smoke, ash from an open fire – and above all, PHENOLIC.
