The “Inspiration” series holds special significance for us. It is produced only in years when, in our opinion, the wine most charmingly reveals the terroir of Eolis.
2014 is a special vintage – due to the cooler summer, the wines are characterized by an elegant harmony between fruity aromas, ripe, fine velvety tannins, and delicate acidity. Nature's challenges inspire us. The wines from this vintage evoke the vibrant freshness of a forest after rain.
The Cabernet Franc (40%) was particularly special – with subtle aromas of chocolate, ripe raspberries, and delicate floral notes (tulip and violets). This ethereal taste harmonizes with the powerful, yet tamed, earthy tones of Cabernet Sauvignon and the softness of Merlot.
Eolis “Inspiration” 2014 has aging potential. You can enjoy it today by decanting it, but it will certainly continue to surprise you very pleasantly over the next few years.
