Description

Flor de Cana is a distillery from Nicaragua dating back to 1890, a winner of many awards from various competitions. The terroir of Flor de Caña is influenced by the fertile volcanic soil around the San Cristobal volcano in Nicaragua. This unique environment imparts different characteristics to the sugarcane, contributing to the rum's flavor profile. Volcanic minerals in the soil, combined with a slow aging process, play a crucial role in creating the smooth and nuanced taste.

Flor de Caña traditionally uses copper pot stills for the distillation process. Flor de Caña 12 is aged for a minimum of 12 years in oak barrels.
