Description

Mád Moser is a collaboration between Austrian winemaker Lenz Moser, Károly Kovács, owner of Mád Wines, and winemaker Gábor Urbán, aiming to redefine dry Furmint from the Tokaj region. MM5 Furmint Dry is aged on its lees for extra mouthfeel and texture, creating a wine with presence and elegance. It brings together classic terroir, excellent fruit quality, Gábor Urbán's ingenious winemaking, and new energy to the category. Bean Boughton MW, a buyer at Alliance Wine, commented: "These are wines which challenge our preconceptions about Hungarian wines, one of the great but forgotten wine regions of the world, and show this exciting new interpretation of dry Furmint."

This spicy dry Furmint features aromas of citrus, jasmine, and freshly cut pineapple. It has a delightful taste of apple, peach, and quince with a pleasant fullness on the palate. There is a lot of minerality, yet the finish is creamy. Well-balanced with a bright, clean, and long finish.
