Description
Glenfarclas is renowned for its traditionally rich and well-balanced "sherry" style and is always bottled in its natural color, without artificial coloring. Heritage is a young and exceptionally fresh representative of the legendary Speyside distillery, making a strong statement for the distillery's portfolio and serving as an excellent everyday dram. Its color alone suggests a light single malt with pleasant, persistent, and fresh aromas. Notes of freshly cut grass, juicy tropical fruits - banana, grapefruit, and orange, vanilla, cream, and spices stand out.
Nose: A creamy aroma captivates the nose, followed by notes of crème brûlée, green apple, pineapple, and pear.
Taste: Well-structured body with a dominant taste of sweet barley, muesli, cereal biscuits, and oak tones.
Finish: Short and dry finish with aromas of autumn fruits - plum, apple, and pear.
Located in the heart of Speyside, at the foot of Ben Rinnes mountain, dotted with heather bushes, the Glenfarclas distillery is surrounded by lush green meadows and fertile fields. Glenfarclas is one of the few remaining independent distilleries that are still privately family-owned. Translated from Celtic, the name Glenfarclas means "Valley of the Green Grass," but that hardly tells you much about what to expect from this remarkable brand of Scotch single malt whisky.
