Description

Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2013 Rosé is an unexpectedly complementary expression of a year widely known for its Chardonnays. It contains 35% Chardonnay – a rather high proportion for a rosé, which usually contains more Pinot Noir. After 7 years of aging in the cellar, it reveals a truly unique character.

Initial aromas recall wild strawberries, raspberries and pomegranate seeds. The aroma then gains freshness with notes of blood orange and star fruit. The bouquet is complemented by black pepper, dark chocolate, cinnamon, dried flowers and new leather. The structure of Pinot Noir is accompanied by a sensation of crisp stone fruits, such as plums and cherries. The texture is finely powdery, and the delicate astringency accentuates the long finish with flashes of pink grapefruit and lime zest.
