Description

At the 500-year-old Zehenthof farm in Kammern in Kamptal, the Hirsch family dedicates all their passion to winemaking. Their philosophy is: the soil makes the wine. Even more than the grape variety, the location determines the character of the wines. Therefore, Hirsch wines are always wines of origin. For this reason, only the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling grape varieties are used. The result is wines with individuality, from biodynamically cultivated vineyards, that reflect the power of the region.

A bowl-shaped site between Heiligenstein and Gaisberg, protected from the wind on three sides, open to the southwest. The calcareous soil is formed from loess. Harvested in October. Whole-bunch pressing, fermentation with natural yeasts, aged in both stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels. Good potential for development in the bottle.

Light green-yellow, silver reflections. Delicate aromas of orange peel, mango, yellow apple, herbal nuances. Juicy, elegant, fine fruit sweetness, delicate acidity.
