Description

Quarter Cask – for the last seven months, the distillate matures in Quarter Casks, significantly smaller barrels that allow for 30% more contact of the distillate with the wood. These barrels were preferred in the 18th century when smuggling was widespread, and their size was more convenient for transport by mules.

Laphroaig is recommended neat or with a little cold water.
