Description
Lar de Paula was founded in 2004 as a result of accumulated knowledge and the desire to pay homage to those who gave meaning to the legacy that continues to grow today. Each area around the winery – Laguardia, Cripan, Lanciego – is part of a mosaic that enriches our winemaking personality. The vineyards are over 40 years old.
Our winery is located in the small enclave of Elvillar, at an altitude of 600 meters. The soil is calcareous, hard, and demanding. Cool mornings and sunny afternoons, favored by the altitude and orientation, allow for slow and balanced ripening. The temperature range between day and night concentrates the aromas. The Ebro Valley, to the south, provides humidity and fertility.
100% Tempranillo. The wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 14 months, with bottle aging rounded to a minimum of four months.
Colour - Deep purple-red
Aroma - An explosion of primary aromas with complex and persistent nuances of wild berries and toasted notes
Taste - Medium-bodied with refined tannins, but good intensity. A balanced start with freshness, complexity, and a good finish.
