Description

Château Lafon-Rochet is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Estèphe, with origins dating back to the 16th century.

Initially known as "Domaine de Rochet," it was renamed "Château Lafon-Rochet" in 1650. Château Lafon-Rochet experienced two centuries of viticulture, during which the vineyard grew and drastically improved, culminating in the awarding of the title Quatrième Grand Cru Classé in the official classification of 1855.

Les Pelerins de Lafon Rochet (The Pilgrims of Lafon Rochet) is the second wine of the château and is made from younger vines and mainly from parcels with predominantly clay and gravel soils. Intended to be consumed younger, with excellent potential for development.

A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
