Примитиво е генетично същият сорт като калифорнийския зинфандел, а Мандурия в Пулия е неговият исторически дом — тук горещото слънце дава едни от най-плътните му версии. Виното е топло и щедро: сушена слива, черна череша, шоколад, ванилия и сладка подправка, с високо алкохолно тяло, ниска киселинност и меки танини. Сервирайте на 16–18 °C към печено месо, барбекю, пикантни ястия или зрели твърди сирена.

The quality of Primitivo di Manduria wines is globally recognized. The variety originated in Croatia, where today it is known as Kaštelanski Crljenak or Crljenak. Its name suggests that it is one of Italy's oldest and earliest ripening varieties. A particularly interesting fact is that 20 days after the grape harvest, the vineyards can yield a second harvest, which has higher acidity and can be used to balance wines.
Lirica Primitivo di Manduria DOC is the winery's best-selling product and is characterized by its southern Mediterranean profile. It has won numerous prestigious accolades and awards. In 2020, the authoritative magazine "Wine Enthusiast" ranked the 2017 vintage among the top 100 best wines in the world.
