Description

White wine with a pale yellow color, with citrus and Mediterranean aromas. Harmonious and refreshing. Pošip is a true indigenous variety discovered 150 years ago by a farmer in the village of Smokvica on the island of Korčula. This is also where the Black Island Winery is located today and where the best Pošip sites are found. In Smokvica, there are a total of about 200 vineyards, located at an altitude of 40-160 meters above sea level.

The grapes for this wine are sourced from 25 local family-owned vineyards that have been growing grapes for decades. The grapes for Merga Victa are carefully selected from vineyards over 15 years old, from three different soil types (red, sandy, and stony), to maintain the proper harmony in the wine.
