Description

Midalidare Brut 1.5 L is a Bulgarian sparkling wine from Midalidare Estate, produced using the traditional method with in-bottle fermentation. Its Magnum format makes it particularly suitable for festive occasions, events, and sharing.

The wine is made from Chardonnay from Midalidare's own vineyards in the Thracian Valley. The Brut style maintains an excellent balance between freshness, fruitiness, and delicate creaminess, while remaining dry and elegant.

In the glass, it impresses with a golden-yellow color with a greenish tint, rich mousse, and aromas of ripe apple, green apple, citrus peel, and subtle bready notes. The taste is fresh, crisp, and well-structured, with an apple-citrus finish.

Midalidare Brut is produced using the classic Champagne method. The Chardonnay for the wine comes from the northern slopes of the winery's own vineyards in the village of Mogilovo, specifically chosen for their less intense sun exposure. The harvest takes place at the beginning of August. The grapes are selected and pressed, followed by clarification of the must, decanting, and fermentation at a controlled temperature. The wine ages for several months on fine lees, and sterile fermentation lasts about 40 days. For a period of 24 to 60 months, the wine ages on the yeast lees, after which it undergoes riddling. Finally, the wine matures for another 3 months in the bottle.
