Description

The “Single vineyard” Riserva Vigna Misciano is made from 100% Sangiovese from the largest vineyard of the castle, which is named after a small nearby village abandoned by its inhabitants in the 15th century: Misciano. The vineyard itself is located at an altitude of 360 m with a subsoil of limestone and sandstone and faces southwest.

After fermentation is completed in steel tanks, the wine ages for 18-24 months in a combination of large Slavonian oak barrels (30 hl) and French barrels (durmast, 500 l), and another 8 months in the bottle before release to the market.
