Description

Plantation rums are unique in the world of spirits. They begin their life as the finest distillate from various points in the Caribbean, loaded into ex-bourbon barrels (American oak) and aged in their "youth" in a tropical climate. This is followed by a refining journey across the Atlantic to Europe, where the rums are transferred to French oak barrels and mature in a temperate, continental climate. The result is a complex, juicy, multi-layered rum that you won't find anywhere else.

Plantation's Grand Reserve is a Barbados rum, from the iconic West Indies Rum Distillery on Barbados – considered the birthplace of the drink. It is a rich, powerful yet balanced fruity "bomb" aged for almost 3 years in the tropical Caribbean climate and one year in the temperate climate of France.
