In 1981, chief technologist André Giraud decided to create an XO that would express the superiority of Cognac Fine Champagne.
Rémy Martin XO Cognac is composed of grape distillates produced from the highest quality vineyards in Cognac, Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. These distillates are extremely suitable for long aging and are known as Cognac Fine Champagne.
Rémy Martin XO Cognac won a gold medal in 2010 at the Spirits Business Cognac Masters in the UK and a gold medal at the World Spirits Competition in 2014 in San Francisco.
