Description

The winery is located on the historic estate of Pago de Valdestremero, where vineyards were renowned as early as the 16th century, producing grapes used in wine served at the court of King Philip II in Valladolid. The estate, with its 80 hectares of vineyards, is situated near the town of Peñafiel, Valladolid, in the heart of the so-called "Golden Mile" of the Ribera del Duero (DOC) wine region. The vineyard is divided into multiple micro-parcels with single-variety Tempranillo grapes.

Harvesting is done by hand, parcel by parcel, with initial selection made on site in the vineyard.

An elegant and expressive wine, produced in a limited series from a single parcel. Made only from the best vintages. 100% Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) grapes from our "La Arenosa" parcel, located in the "El Páramo" strip, at 900 meters above sea level, with 35-year-old vines yielding a very selective production.

50% of the fermentation process takes place in 4500 kg stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 16 and 27°C, and the remaining 50% in French oak barrels. Once fermentation is complete, we leave the wine to macerate with the pomace for two weeks. The wine then ages for at least 18 months in medium and medium-heavy toast French oak barrels.

An elegant, aromatic wine with great concentration and intensity. Complex and intense aroma, with a fresh mineral base. Powerful and rich taste, with fresh, rounded tannins. A limited edition wine that we only create from the best vintages.
