For the creation of The Balvenie PortWood 21 YO, Balvenie whisky is further aged in port casks. The whisky is regularly tasted by the Balvenie Malt Master to ensure that only the correct amount of aroma from the port casks is imparted, enhancing and developing the single malt while preserving its original characteristics.

Aroma - Scent of fruity notes and ripe raisins, complemented by a nutty aroma.

Taste - Refined with remarkable character, smooth and silky fruity taste, honey and spicy notes.

Finish - Long, mellow, delicious.
