Description
The Glenlivet 12 YO Licensed Dram is a limited edition dedicated to the oldest Glenlivet whisky.
George Smith was a farmer and the founder of The Glenlivet. He personally received the first distillery license in 1823, an event that marked the starting point for the modern Scotch industry.
The design is based on the text from the distillation license from way back in 1823.
It was aged in new American and European oak casks to recreate this old style.
Unlike the basic The Glenlivet 12 YO, the limited edition Licensed Dram is bottled at a higher alcohol percentage. This gives it additional body and flavor intensity.
Nose: Juicy peaches, strawberry marmalade, complemented by notes of cinnamon and ginger;
Taste: Honey, vanilla, and aromatic hazelnut;
Finish: Long sweet and peppery.
