Description

Artemis Karamolegos Winery is one of the oldest on the island and has its own secret recipe for Santorini's traditional and delicious sweet wine. The blend consists of 85% Assyrtiko and 15% Aidani. The grapes come from selected vineyards in Pyrgos, Megalochori, Exo Gonia and Akrotiri. The grapes are sun-dried for 9-14 days under the scorching Santorini sun to dehydrate and concentrate the sugars, acidity, and aromas of the grapes. The precious juice is then transferred to stainless steel tanks where it undergoes fermentation. The wine is then transferred to old French oak barrels of 225 and 500 liters and aged there for at least 90 months.
