Description

The first generation of the Straka family came to Rechnitz in the 18th century from Bohemia. They planted their first vineyards, and the family name means "magpie," which explains the label design. The winery is the oldest in the region and is known for the town's first "heuriger" (winery tavern). Thomas, born in 1981, took over the winery completely in 1999, and the family currently owns 7 hectares of organically farmed vineyards.
