Martell

Martell

Martell cognac stands out from other cognacs due to its special double distillation method, traditional in the Charente region. The distillation process takes place in copper stills or tanks to extract the essence of the wine, called "eau de vie" (brandy). Martell is the only major cognac house that distills only clear wines – in which all sediments and impurities have been removed to produce an exceptionally fine and pure brandy.

The grapes come from the four main growing areas in the Charente region: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois.

Martell is then aged in fine-grained oak barrels, which impart smooth, well-balanced aromas to the cognac brandy, giving it notes of vanilla, dried fruit, red berries, and dry flowers.

Each cognac is created using a masterful blend of brandies from different vintages and growing regions. The cellar master carefully selects and blends them to consistently achieve the unique, high-quality taste of Martell cognac.
