Jameson

We're Irish, so storytelling is in our blood.

Jameson Irish Whiskey came into being over two hundred years ago, so we obviously can't tell every story in great detail, but our aim is to take you on a journey from the past to the present – following in the footsteps of generations of true masters and the founder of Jameson.

The year – 1780. The man – John Jameson. His passion – whiskey. From the day John Jameson walked through the doors of the Bow St. Distillery, our ambition has always been to produce the finest Irish whiskey in the world. In its early years, the distillery grew rapidly and soon became a bustling city within a city. Come and learn the remarkable stories of the people who dedicated their lives to John Jameson's distillery in Dublin. Stay to enjoy the fruits of their labour in this historic landmark and pay tribute to the craft of whiskey making.

For over 200 years, we called Dublin home, but in 1975, we relocated our ever-expanding operation to the green fields of Midleton, County Cork. The big move had its risks, but it certainly paid off in terms of whiskey production. Our new home gave us the space we needed to spread out and unleash our whiskey-making ambitions. Proximity to barley farmers and fresh water is probably not what people usually look for when choosing a home, but Midleton seemed to have everything we needed, plus extra room for visitors.
