Pfaffl is a family winery run by a brother and sister. Roman Josef Pfaffl is the winemaker and oenologist of the winery. It is important to him to personally carry out these activities. His sister, Heidi Fischer, is responsible for business development and brand marketing.

The Pfaffl family's pride is their vineyards. They currently cultivate around 110 hectares. The sites are spread across the Stetten region in Weinviertel and nearby Vienna. Due to the many different vineyards, Pfaffl Winery has the opportunity to produce a rich variety of different wines.

A large part of the grape processing is done by hand because respect for nature and a focus on the bigger picture are very important to the winemaking family.

Careful hand-picking provides a better understanding of the plants and allows for a reaction to the capricious weather each year. In turn, this is an excellent prerequisite for richer harvests.
